I have received the decision letter
On this page, you will find information about what is stated in the decision letter, what we assess, what the employer should assess, as well as what you can do to qualify if your application has been rejected.

With recognition, you can get a permanent job as head of kindergarten or educational supervisor in a Norwegian kindergarten.
It is the employer's responsibility to assess whether you are suitable for a position and to evaluate your Norwegian language skills.
You have documented the right to practice the profession in Norway under EU's Professional Qualifications Directive, but you do not meet all the requirements for recognition. A compensation measure allows you to obtain recognition as head of kindergarten or educational supervisor in kindergarten by passing an aptitude test or an adaptation period.
Read more about compensation measures.
If your application is rejected, we have assessed that you either:
- have not documented a completed a kindergarten teacher qualification from abroad
- have not met all the requirements for recognition
If your application is declined, it means that we cannot or will not process your application. The reason is explained in more detail in the decision.
This could be, for example, because:
- You have not uploaded all the documents we need.
- You have applied before and have not included new documents or new information in the application.
- You have already received recognition.
