About Nansen EDU - Norwegian–Ukrainian Cooperation in Higher Education
Nansen EDU funds academic cooperation between higher education institutions in Norway and Ukraine. The programme aims to support Ukrainian higher education institutions in maintaining and developing attractive and relevant study offerings, teaching and support services for students and staff.

How the grant is administered
Nansen EDU is part of Norway’s efforts for capacity building and long-term institutional cooperation under the Nansen Support Programme for Ukraine. Nansen EDU is administered by the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (HK-dir) on behalf of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Purpose
The overall aim of Nansen EDU is to
- Strengthen Ukrainian higher education institutions’ ability to offer good, relevant and attractive education.
- Improve the access to well-qualified professionals for the public and private sector in Ukraine, tailored to priority fields in Ukraine and adapted to regional needs.
- Strengthen long-term cooperation between Norwegian and Ukrainian higher education institutions.
Who can apply?
Norwegian higher education institutions that are accredited by NOKUT, and that offer study programmes at both bachelor's and master's level, can apply to Nansen EDU. Further requirements for the consortium will be specified in the call.
