DHG Forum 2023: Impact and innovation – Effects of higher education development collaboration
Welcome to the 13th DHG Forum Meeting. This year, Norad and the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills will be hosting the event in Oslo, Norway. We are looking forward to dive into engaging discussions on exciting topics related to our roles in higher education and research sectors in a rapidly evolving world.
In the current context, dealing with post-COVID, energy crisis, increasing inequality, war and political unrest, funding to the sector is increasingly under constraint. Hence, how we align development collaboration efforts to ensure sustainable and long-term impact will be critical moving forward.
For DHG 2023, we would like to dive into a deeper discussion on the overall effect of development cooperation initiatives within higher education. Do our current measures lead to real change and sustainability within higher education? How are our programmes and initiatives working, and for whom? How should we align our future efforts in a changing space, and what adjustments and innovative initiatives are needed?
We want to explore research and the knowledge based on effectiveness, and what types of initiatives leads to what kind of change. The focus will be on sharing learning on promising practices, and discussions on what direction we should go moving forward.
