Time and date: 4 June 2026 10:00h- 4 June 2026 11:00h
Location: • Virtual

About the event

The Global Gateway is the EU’s strategy, launched in 2021, to strengthen international partnerships through investments in sustainable infrastructure and systems, including education and research. Within Erasmus+ and related programmes, the initiative contributes to closer cooperation with partner countries and encourages projects that align with broader EU priorities.

Although Norway is not part of the formal decision-making structures of the Global Gateway, the initiative is becoming increasingly relevant within Erasmus+, particularly in actions such as Capacity Building. For Norwegian institutions, it is therefore important to understand how these priorities influence project development, partnerships and evaluation.

In this webinar, representatives from the European Commission will provide insights into what the Global Gateway means in practice and how it affects Erasmus+. In addition, a Norwegian higher education institution will share concrete experiences with cooperation with the partner countries outside of Europe through EU funding.
